DOUBT...

i and a frnd of mine were discussing something and somehow topic shifted to entreprenuers and b plan and etc. etc. he said running your ongoing well settled family business in a new way i.e adding somethng to it or expanding it, is entreprenuership... i said it can be a form of it but i wouldnt say him/her a complete entreprenuer..
entreprenuer is a broad term so it may be or may not be...
i can find answer to it anywhere on net but i wanted inputs from everyone thats why am posting it here..
whats ur pik??

  2. 1stly kudos for the "new look" blog!!! its pretty impressive...

coming to ur doubt.. my view is that an entreprenuer is one able to mak best use of the available capital to giv out high quality solutions n products... now this capital mayb in the form of wealth or intellect.. so as long as the goals n ideas are new and original the pre-existance of a well settled bussiness does not play as a hinderence in ur flow of thought and action... and u can still b considered an entreprenuer..

  3. @ manish :- expanding the "well settled" business can be termed as a way of being an entrepreneur but it entirely depends on u how u do it....there are two possibilities....one that u expand ur business by seeking angel funding for raising the capital hence expanding ur business hence creating job opportunities in a way its more like expanding ur organization from one place to many others....then u surely will be called an entrepreneur...!!
the other includes just widening ur business in terms of increasing the amount of goods and varieties that wont include any external help!

  4. hey, nice questioon..! ACtually it ws dodged to me while an interview as well, wen i chanced upon mentioning about the club. The interviewer asked me, if u r so game abt entrepreneurship, why doing a job??? Now see, what i believe is dat, Entrepreneur is a person who makes optimum utilisation of the existing infrastructure and resources, to build and grow his business towards the desired vision. take a note, "vision" is what sets apart a normal hard working person from a successful one.! When u have an already setup business model, dat means u have greater task at hand dan starting from scratch. Simply coz, u ll have to rake ur brains far harder to bring about innovation on board with the existing vision and objectives of the company..
So in this sense, even a person working in a company, can be termed as an entrepreneur, if he has a sense of purpose to fulfill, to achieve some extra, over the edge profit, or out of the box idea to do the same thing in a better way.
so, innovation comes handy fr an entrepreneur... !
hope u got the point manish..

  5. i totally agree wid manish....
i also think that being an entrepreneur means startin somethin new and its completely different frm other people's thinking.....
Considering the fact tht anil ambani is regarded as an entrepreneur but i think he nt tht as he s carrying a business ahead tht ws started and dreamed by Lt. Dhirubhai ambani.....

  7. look everybody...u neeed to work in a system to know how exactly it works...coz if u start ur own business without ne experience u ll fall flat ...coz u dnt actly understand wat kind of ppl we require to do a desired job...for that we neeed to get some workin experience and after dat should plan to invest in our own...nd only INNOVATION does nt make u an entrepreneur, starting from the raw and generating capital makes u an entrepreneur....
so if any interviewer ask's you that y u want to do a job if u want to be an entrepreneur....u may tell him wat is stated above ..i guess...!!
    right amita...??
